Qatar Airways has unveiled its launch of new daily direct flights from Doha to Sydney, set to begin on March 1 2016.
This will be the third Australian city in the airlines portfolio, set to benefit thousands of holidaymakers every year.
The stunning city of Sydney
Currently the airline operates flights on a daily basis to both Perth and Melbourne, totalling 14 services every week.
The introduction of this new service comes as millions of visitors trek to the stunning landscape of Australia every year.
Sydney is thought to be a popular destination due to its ocean-side location, iconic attractions including the Sydney Opera House and beautiful sandy beaches.
In fact, the city is also one of world’s top business and tourist destinations, leading this new service to be popular among travellers around the globe.
Boosting commercial and trade links
Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways Chief Executive, said the firm is delighted to announce this daily addition to the flight network, set to begin next March.
The increase in services to Australia will most definitely boost and strengthen both commercial and trade links between Qatar and Australia, hopefully leading to further partnerships in the future, he added.
Mr Al Baker also noted that this is an exciting time for the airline, with the potential to carry even more travellers to and from Australia, providing them with a world-class experience “both on board and on the ground” in the new state of the art Haman International Airport, located in Doha.
The airline has also ensured that evening departure times to and from Australia are convenient for passengers, with the hope of further attracting business and leisure travellers to the network.
All Doha to Sydney flights will be operated by the magnificent Boeing 777-300 aircraft which prides itself in providing award winning in-flight hospitality, coupled with luxury and comfort across all cabins.
