British Airways has announced they will operate the A380 flight on a daily basis from Heathrow to Singapore from 14 December 2015.
The airline currently runs a double daily flight from the London airport to Singapore, with the A380 route set to make an appearance three times a week.
Benefiting more customers
The A380 BA 11 winter service is set to depart from Heathrow airport at 19:10 with the BA 12 service departing from the Singapore Changi airport at 23:20 on a daily basis.
In addition to these big flight changes, British Airways is also opening a newly refurbished departure lounge for travellers in Changi Airport (Terminal One).
This lounge will open its doors during the summer months and represents just one way British Airways is enhancing the services on offer to its passengers.
Head of UK&I Sales at British Airways, Stephen Humphreys, commented that the new addition of the A380 on the Singapore route “signals [their] commitment” to the specific route and the region as a whole.
It will mean more customers can fly from the UK to the Far East in maximum style and efficiency, he said.
Famous flyers
The new flight has been launched by famous actress and singer, Gwyneth Paltrow, who opened the route from the UK to Singapore in October 2014.
British Airways also built a new aircraft to cater to this flight; offering 469 luxury seats in four sophisticated cabins.
The new aircraft will begin flights to Miami from October 25 2015 with the tenth A380 arriving in November 2015 ready to begin the new flight plan.
British Airways currently has nine “super jumbos” as part of its fleet, flying to locations such as Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Singapore, Washington DC and Johannesburg.
If you’re looking to take advantage of this new flight from Heathrow then it’s important to remember to book long haul or short haul travel insurance in advance
