If the thought of hopping on a flight fills you with trepidation, then easyjet’s latest “Fearless Flyer” course programme could be just the thing for you.
The UK’s largest airline has revealed that it will be helping even more nervous fliers take to the skies thanks to its Autumn 2014 schedule of aerophobia courses. Running at Gatwick, Belfast, Luton, Edinburgh, Manchester, Bristol and Stansted and priced at £189 per person the course will welcome the flying frightened at dates through September, October and November.
EasyJet’s Fearless Flyer course consists of a three-hour ground course presented by top phobia expert Lawrence Leyton, star of Channel 4’s Fear of Flying programme, and a senior easyJet Captain. More than 1,000 flying phobics - ranging from those who experience mild nervousness to extreme phobics - have been helped as part of the course since its launch in late 2012.
Mark Wein, Director of FOF Events which organise the fearless flyer courses, said: “As a former phobic myself, I know how restrictive a fear of flying can be so I get no greater pleasure than receiving emails from around the world from our Fearless Flyers who are now enjoying exotic holidays, visiting overseas relatives or flying to business meetings without that dreaded fear of the flight.
“We see tears and apprehension coming into the ground courses and beaming smiles getting off the experience flight. The transformation is incredible and is achieved after only three hours in one of our ground courses. So with our next series of courses fast approaching, we’re looking forward to helping our next 1000 Fearless Flyers achieve their goal of flying fearlessly.”
One recent graduate of the course is Bobby Cole Norris, star of ITV2 BAFTA award-winning series The Only Way is Essex (TOWIE). If you want to follow in Bobby’s footsteps you book a place on one of easyJet's Fearless Flyer courses at fearlessflyer.easyjet.com. You can also bring a companion on the course for just £69. If you have conquered your flying fear and are heading on the holiday of your dreams in the coming months, it is important to organise travel insurance before fly.
